Well folks, if you've been following along, we've made it to 34 weeks of this pregnancy. With it being the last week to travel before baby arrives we decided to pack up and head west to our little hometown of Phillipsburg, Kansas. Both my husband and I's families reside there so our daughter LOVES to go back and see all of her "peoples."
But the road trips are getting harder and I'm starting to feel rather pregnant so I thought what better than to make a pit stop at The Rollin' J for a quick pick me up.
Shopping is good for the soul, ya'll!
We spent the weekend on my dad's farm where I grew up so took advantage of the {glamorous} tin buildings, grain bins, diesel tanks and zebras for a good photo sesh to show you guys some new pieces I found at The Rollin' J.
There is something so fun about a floral, off the shoulder dress & this one caught my eye immediately... Paired with a floppy hat & some cute zebras, I felt like I was on a safari.
Fun Fact: I grew up with exotic animals. That's normal, right? 😝
Another fun fact: All of these zebras are pregnant, too!
Moving on to the diesel tank. :) Thanks for all the rad props, Dad!
This Z Supply dress is sooo comfy & I just love the fact that I'll be able to wear all of these clothes post baby. Hard to believe our little buckaroo will be here next month.
Also SO obsessed with this thunderbird necklace. If you're looking to invest in a boho statement piece, this is it!
Last but not least...
The black & white striped midi dress.
I'm carrying this baby SO LOW that dresses are literally the only comfortable thing to wear. So I was super pumped when I saw this sundress in store that was the perfect length. PLUS, it has pockets. Pockets people!! 🙌🏼
Also you guys, this backpack is the best. 100% real leather and totally classy! I had a shoulder diaper bag with Harper and it was always in the way or falling off when I bent over. Having 2 hands will definitely be a must with a baby and a toddler.
(Not that you have to use this bag as a diaper bag. It's convertible and can be a cross body or shoulder bag as well)
You can find all of these pieces at The Rollin' J in store and online. It's a one stop shop & obviously my favorite. Let me know if you have any questions.
As always, thanks for following along. 😘
XOXO,

Dressing the bump: Kimono style
The best of the Midwest
Anyone who knows me knows I'm not a huge fan of maternity clothes. Being 32 weeks deep in my second pregnancy I've gotten pretty good at finding non-maternity clothes and working with the bump. Sizing up is key!
This Coral Floral (say that 5 times fast) Chiffon Kimono is super light and airy, perfect for these warmer temps!
Even better, if you're packing for a trip this literally weighs nothing & hardly takes up any space in your suitcase. Making more room to pack unnecessary shit on your trip! 😝 (I'm such an over packer)
I've also became such a hat lady! Mostly because my hair is hardly ever washed. 🤷🏽♀️ But this hat is a total steal at just $25 and will go with almost anything! So summery, so cute!
Here's another great kimono currently available at The Rollin J. The embroidery on this thing is so pretty. And so is that cute little lady next to me! ☺️
If ya'll are in need of a kimono look no further. The Rollin J has a variety of the cutest kimonos on the market. But don't wait too long, they're selling out super quick!

Embroidery
You guys, this dress will seriously brighten your day. 🍋 ☀️
Is it just me or do you feel happier when you like your outfit?!
There's even more beautiful embroidery in the back. So colorful, so pretty. Obsessed is an understatement.
Floppy hats are also a Spring must 👆🏼

Spring has sprung
It's the first day of Spring ya'll and no surprise I found the perfect transition pieces this weekend at The Rollin J.
First things first let's talk about this sweater 👇🏼
Bonus: It's bump friendly! 🙌🏼
I chose the Peachy Blush sweater so I could pair it with this feminine lace detailed skirt but it also comes in Cream.
The skirt completed this look by giving it both the pretty and feminine flare I was going for. Lace is totally on trend this Spring and when you add a tulle overlay it's a win win!
This Totem Salvage clutch is on point

I think this may be my go-to Easter outfit.

Comfy Cute
Comfy Cute
I am smack dab in the middle of my 2nd trimester and already in FULL comfort mode.
Let me just start by saying... you will never catch me using the word "Bae" but you guys, this light-weight tank is hilarious! I mean seriously, give me all the Bacon & Eggs. Just writing this makes me want BAE. 😂 Plus it's long and stretchy so doubles as maternity wear! 🙌🏼
The grey ultra soft cardigan is the sweatpants of cardigans (seriously feels like a dream) and no surprise sold out FAST!! Will let you guys know if it will be restocked.
These breakout loungers have have been my go-to lately. Who doesn't love an adorable pair of comfs to lounge around in?! These babies come in Black, Grey & Ivory and are under $40. Total steal!

Girlfriend Getaway
The Best of the Midwest | A Blog by Jen Keesee
If you're a parent, you know that it's hard to get away for 5 minutes let alone a whole weekend! It's truly Harper's world and I'm just living in it... So when a few friends asked me to go with them to a Women's Retreat on the Country Club Plaza in KC for the weekend, well, lets just say they didn't have to twist my arm!
Luckily I have a fabulous hubby who was all for a daddy/daughter date night watching Toy Story 3 and eating popcorn. Now don't get me wrong. I love being a mom. In fact it truly is the BEST job in the world! But there is something about a girls weekend getaway to unwind and refresh that is so absolutely necessary every now and then. You know... for your sanity!!!
To top if all off, I got first dibs on a few pieces hot off the Spring Collection from the Rollin J just in time for the weekend. Like, GET IN MY CLOSET!!
Kansas City just happens to be one of the prettiest cities in the Midwest so it was the perfect opportunity for a fun little photoshoot (thanks to my girls for playing along). In all honesty I can be a total awkward turtle but when you have a friend like Jess singing and twirking to Rihanna's "work, work, work, work, work, work" in the background, you can't help but to have a good time! (I apologize in advance for getting that song stuck in your head!)
This cardigan is super soft and literally goes with everything!!
All the heart eyes for this detailed lace top!
This gorgeous wall mural just happened to be a few miles from where we were staying in downtown Kansas City. It was meant to be!
Give me all the pretty Spring florals!!
Then wouldn't ya know it. The coolest little coffee joint was right around the corner. No girls weekend is complete without a fancy, fresh latte. You know what they say...coffee in one hand, confidence in the other. We'll have to go back in the summer when they open up the garage doors for sure!
But seriously, you know anything Shelly Jo does at The Rollin J is on point. So be on the lookout for new Spring Arrivals coming soon!
Thanks for reading!! ...and because I have the hook up use code MIDWESTJEN at checkout for 10% off your next purchase at The Rollin J. Offer valid now through 2/15/17 in store and online!
